The Wild Angels

Today a machinist at work regaled me with a story from when he lived in Los Angeles back in the 60's. On a trip to the hospital in Culver City one Sunday he happened to show up as they were shooting some biker movie scene where the Hells Angels bust their friend out of the hospital. "It was starring Nancy Sinatra and some other fairly big star."

"The Wild Angels starring Peter Fonda."

"Yeah! That was it."

"I love that film. In that scene their busting out Bruce Dern's character, the Loser."

"That's right. Bruce Dern. God he was a great actor."

So not only am I working with someone who witnessed part of the shooting of my second favorite biker movie, but he also happens to share my opinion of Bruce Dern. Bruce, you rock!
