Get Your Motor Running

"I seem to be a verb." I've heard it quoted this way from Bucky Fuller. Correspondingly, I feel Tao often gets mistranslated as The Way when Way would probably provide a closer approximation. And the front man for the Butthole Surfers, Gibby Hanes, perhaps said it best when making a special guest appearance on the Ministry song, Jesus Built My Hotrod.

Where you come from is gone.
Where you thought you were going to weren't never there.
And where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it.

What I am getting at here is that life seems to exist as motion and change. Even the seemingly sedentary rocks I would pluck from the field as a farmboy existed, at the atomic level, of motion. There are two theoretical conditions in which this state of constant motion seems to take a vacation from the rules as we know them. One is at 0ºK, the theoretical absolute zero at which point all motion really does cease, or so people say. The other is the famous C of E=MC^2, the speed of light, at which point things no longer behave like matter or other forms of energy at all, at all. For the rest of our universe, stuck somewhere between, we have motion.

It appears to apply to information as well. Every scientific theory seems to eventually get overturned. We find the exceptions to the rules, increase our understanding, and carry on. Motion and change.

Seek not to find answers, but keep asking questions.

Question religion.

Question government.

Question others.

Above all, don't forget to question yourself.

There is no "retiring in Florida".
